YASMINA
Une fiction sonore en 7 épisodes inspirée de faits réels
Yasmina is a true story inspired by the notes of Isabelle Eberhardt, a young journalist who, dressed as an Arab horseman, traveled the Saharan trails to write about the daily life of Bedouins and marabouts in the 19th century. In the great journey she made her life, guided by her desire to write, she approached and crossed the stages that make her one of those rare authors capable of expressing herself and understanding Maghreb culture while France was in the midst of its conquest of Algeria at that time.
Yasmina represents 19th century Algeria while Paul represents France ready to conquer the North African continent. The Red All Saints' Day uprising of November 1954 did not break out mysteriously after decades of conviviality. Who says war of independence, necessarily says conquest and colonization.
