THE TREES WILL BLOSSOM
IN DACHAU

A 5-episode sound fiction inspired by true events

On the occasion of the anniversary of the liberation of the Dachau camp in Germany on April 29, 1945, I present to you a radio fiction in 5 episodes mixing History of the Holocaust, duty of remembrance and poetry. A dive into the heart of history after the liberation of the Dachau camp on April 29, 1945 but also into the minds of the survivors who are learning to live again after years of pure cruelty and suffering.

How to relearn to live after experiencing the unthinkable? Why inflict the memory of this cruel period on yourself? Why not forget?

The story you are about to listen to is inspired by proven historical facts, the characters and dialogues were imagined from written or oral testimonies of Holocaust survivors, national archives and press articles written during and after the Second World War.
