THE CHRONICLES
A podcast segment typically focuses on a specific topic, offering analysis, commentary, thoughts, or in-depth information about a particular event, theme, personality, or aspect.
On this podcast, I invite you to explore various formats of chronicles. My goal is to continue the exploration of forgotten history and the duty of remembrance through different prisms: cinema, literature, poetry, painting, sculpture, but also through the news of our contemporary society. Indeed, we are aware that the ghosts of the past remain present, and we still see today events that have already taken place in the past reminding us that the ghosts of the latter are not far away.
Through these different stylistic approaches and by examining the issues of our time, I wish to provide a complete and enriching perspective on History, highlighting the resonances between the past and the present.
Arts and Memories
This is a first collection of episodes that invites you to explore all forms of art, highlighting various artistic movements and iconic creators. This series of episodes is dedicated to the theme of memory, transmission, memories and forgetting, exploring how these fundamental notions are reflected through the works of renowned artists.
Each episode will transport you through eras and artistic expressions to understand how artists have captured, interpreted and transmitted these essential aspects of the human experience.
Cinememory
I also share with you this collection of episodes where I take you on a journey through cinema, exploring how it deeply addresses History in the broad sense, significant memories, transmission and the duty of remembrance. These episodes focus on the analysis of films inspired by real events and documentaries, allowing us to come together around the way in which the seventh art captures and interprets these fundamental aspects of the human experience.
We will dissect the making of films that have drawn on historical events to create audiovisual stories that arouse our curiosity and sometimes even teach us about a historical event that was previously unknown.
Langues et Mémoires
Languages and language are our primary instruments of communication, they transmit a culture, a history, tell the richness of a country or a people. We speak of forgotten languages, dead languages, endangered languages or even contemporary languages or recent languages, mother tongue or adopted language. Let's explore the history of languages, how do they mark the great history or even our personal history and our own cultures. Why and how does a language disappear and become forgotten? How, on the contrary, can a language appear and become the official language of a country or a people?
News
In this collection of episodes, we will take a close look at current events around the world as they relate to history and the duty of remembrance. My goal is to explore historical events that have lasting repercussions in our contemporary society. I will highlight the ongoing work of collective memory across different eras and its impact on our current reality. By examining these connections between the past and the present, we will attempt to understand how history continues to shape our modern world, thus providing a better understanding of the timeless links between past events and contemporary issues.
